Nov 29th - #NaBloPoMo - Post 29 - Pretty Princess Play Tent

We have been very very lucky recently and received a beautiful Fairy Princess Play Tent to review from Big Game Hunters. Having two girls this was just perfect and as they are always moving chairs, rugs and cushions to make endless dens I knew it was going to be popular straight away.

It arrived neatly parcelled in a cardboard box with fairly simple instructions. It is well made with light wooden poles and heavy duty plastic connectors. The tent itself is made from reasonably heavy, good quality canvas that is water repellent if you did leave it out overnight in the garden.

It was also very easy to put up and if you don't screw it all together (which you can do as the screws are provided) it only takes about 10 minutes to do. We haven't screwed it together as although it is fab it is a bit big for our house - as you can probably see from the pictures. This way we can put it up occasionally in the house (when it's not looking like a chinese laundry - the house that is not the play tent!) and we can also use it outside in the summer.

As you can see from the pics the girls loved it - especially Little Miss Sunshine - she took her dolly straight in there, along with mountains of dolly paraphernalia! It's actually quite big inside - easily big enough for a grown up to sit in along with 1 or 2 kids - so you can join in too!
It has a little door and 3 windows - all with curtains and 2 of these have ties so that you can tie them up - as does the door. The canvas is kept on the poles by velcro straps and the whole thing is quite solid but still reasonably light.
We plan to use it in Little Miss Sunshine's room when it eventually gets redone and Daddy builds her that tall bed that he has promised her, but even if that doesn't happen I can foresee lots of happy tea parties in it and all sorts of playing done with it in the garden in the summer.

If you fancy getting one of these fab creations - they would make great Christmas pressies - they cost £74.99 and you can get them from Big Game Hunters Playhouse shop I would say that they are definitely worth the money as they are much much nicer than cheaper play tents that can be very flimsy. If you have boys they also do a fab Wigwam for £49.99.

I was offered to review this product by Big Game Hunters. I received this product free of charge but I have received no other payment for this review and any opinions or comments are entirely my own.
